Our History Year One: We launched out of Pekin First Church of the Nazarene in February of 2005 at the Bertha Frank Performing Arts Center in Morton. Beginning with a launch team of 30 commited people we saw the church grow to about 120 by the end of our first year. Year Two: We moved to the Morton Cinemas and saw the church grow to nearly 170 in worship. We also began looking at property in the Morton area, but after failing to find a meeting place that fit our needs we commited ourselves to becoming a church that cares more about people than it does property. Year Three: We continued to focus on people and saw more people discover a relationship with Jesus Christ than any other year in our history. The church continued to grow rapidly and was averaging nearly 220 by our 3rd anniversary. Year Four: In our fourth year of existance as a church we launched a second campus in the city of Pekin in September of 2009. While we only ran that campus for a few months we saw 36 people begin to follow Christ through the ministry, and the church grew to over 300 in worship. Year Five: We sent out our first team to plant a new church called Second Chance Church in Fishers, Indiana. Matt Robinson who had been on our staff for three years along with 4 other families from BridgeWay relocated their entire families to help start a brand new church in one of the fastest growing cities in the country. Year Six: Now in our sixth year of existence we are seeing between 450 and 500 worship with us weekly, and have seen over 400 people give their lives to Christ. |
